Fantasy or Reality?
A poem by Joe Risitano
A princess gazing a far off,
A horrendous dragon's fiery breath.
An old wizard's heavy cough,
And grisly reapers bringing death.
Only this could be fantasy.
Chases, blunders, greatest escapes,
With monsters coming close behind.
A brave warrior getting into terrible straights,
His fair maiden waits, happiness in mind.
It might be fantasy.
There is a beautiful one,
She comes to the rocks on a seashore.
Wondering of his whereabouts,
Is sorrow what she may endure?
Is this just a fantasy?
A ship comes near,
Hope in her arises.
Could this be he,
She thinks as from the rock she rises.
I'm not sure this is a fantasy.
Walking forward,
To the shore she looks toward.
A familiar face captures her eyes,
This look she knows, it's one she never has despised.
This is real, fantasy isn't made like this.
He waves from the vessel,
Her heart beats.
Jumping from the ship,
It is she, he greets.
Oh what romantic reality, this is!
His hand in hers,
In his hand, her's is entwined.
They embrace,
They kiss, with passion that couldn't ever be undermined.
I love this reality, what happens next?
I wake up.
:O ugh, i think you just ripped my heart out of my chest! soo beautiful, but only a dream....why?!! haha jkjk. i loved it, but so heart-wrenching!
ReplyDeleteAs a writer, I feel honored for that. In real life, I'M SO SORRY FOR RIPPING OUT YOUR HEART! :O
