WE #12 ~ CK

A quiet glance
A playful eye
He sneaks a glance
But flits his eyes
Away as she turns
To watch
His face

Has she seen him before?
Or only in dreams?
Her eyes captivate him
Smile draws him in
The perpetual gray skies
Rage on
But only brightness shines
Within their hearts

He steps closer
And says hello
Takes her hands
As it starts to snow
She says,
“Could we possibly have met before?”
“Such a lovely face
Could not have escaped me”

The years wear on
But their love never fades
This thing they have
Has never been a masquerade
Though difficult moments
Have passed their way
They never let it change
What lies between

One January day
Ground covered in white
The lovers strolled
Beneath the fleeting afternoon light
He turns to face
That same familiar face
He beheld years before

Pulls her close
And she smiles at him
For a moment, their eyes meet
He whispers,
“Would you be my forever?”
She replies,
“you’ve always been,”
As they embrace
That winter night

Sorry this is late, btw! school's been kinda crazy lately!!
